When I was absolutely frustrated with being tied down to nursing and caring for my baby son, I decided to work from home. I chose ‘Freelance Writing’ as writing has always been my love and hobby. My job has been a ’savior’. Working from home is a wonderful opportunity for young mothers. It gives you a respite from nursing and diapering and fills you with a sense of satisfaction that you are doing something worthwhile. It might be tough for you to build an empire with what you earn from freelance writing initially. But, that pay checks will definitely pay for that new designer nursing gown. Throw in some toys and milk bottles too into the list. Work at home jobsWork at home jobs can be found in plenty on job sites, newspaper ads and Google search. Create a few brochures and business cards advertising your service and distribute them in your locality. Be bold. Contact companies and suggest that you can create brochures for them. Pick up the phones and make a phone presentation detailing your services. Every little thing you do to market your home business will boost your revenue. By the way, don’t forget to create a website and blog detailing your business. Have a ‘contact ‘page and put in some testimonials too. A Threat!Working from home can pose to be a threat too if you do not distinguish between work time and home time. It is okay to attend to your hurt child during office time but it is definitely not right to chat with your friend. Similarly, it may be okay to attend to an important deadline task during your child-play time but it is not right to read blogs and check mails then. So, plan your day well. Set timelines and differentiate your office time from the rest of the day. This is very important when you work from home or else, your office will pour into your home and your home into office and life will become a mess.
